Our Southern Oregon office in Medford covers the Rogue Valley and northern California for private utility locating. In California that includes Siskiyou, Shasta, Del Norte, Humboldt, Trinity, Modoc and Lassen counties, from Yreka and Mount Shasta to Redding, Eureka, Arcata, Crescent City, Alturas and Susanville.

Ground conditions around Medford and the Rogue Valley

Heavy clay is the dominant constraint in the Rogue Valley. Our reports record properties where high clay content made ground penetrating radar largely ineffective, and sites where old asphalt fill had been used as backfill, which produces poor readings until the line returns to cleaner ground. Gravel-to-pavement transitions are common on commercial sites, and where tracer wire has been installed on gas, water or sewer it is usually the most reliable route to a clean trace.
